Phase-4 (Clinical) Department of Anaesthesiology


  • At the end of the course of Anaesthesiology the undergraduate medical students will be able to
  • provide proper care in managing patient before and after anaesthesia.
  • describe the basic concept of Counselling of patient requiring anaesthesia.
  • refer high risk cases appropriately.
  • resuscitate patient after general anaesthesia and impart proper care.
  • demonstrate appropriate attitude required to practise anaesthesia.
  • describe the common problems of pre, peri and post anaesthesia period.
  • value the ethical issues in anaesthesiology.

  • After completing the course of Anaesthesiology in MBBS course students will acquire following Competencies:
  • History taking, communication skill, examination before anaesthetic procedure.
  • Diagnosis of common clinical problems during anaesthesia.
  • Preparation of a patient before anaesthesia.
  • Writing a proper preanaesthetic check up note.
  • Care of patient after general anaesthesia.
