MBBS Admission Information for Local Students in EMC
MBBS course admission procedure in EMC follows the Policy
formulated by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) according to the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME),
Medical Education and Family Welfare Division of Ministry of Health and Family Walfare (MOH&FW),
Bangladesh and supported by Chittagong Medical University, Chattogram, Bangladesh.
Bangladeshi students should have minimum GPA 9.00 together in SSC/O level/Equivalent & HSC/A level/Equivalent (Separately minimum GPA 4.00 in each).
Local students should have passed SSC/O level/Equivalent Exam regularly in Science Discipline and HSC/A level/Equivalent exam regularly in Science Discipline with subjects Physics, Chemistry & Biology (minimum GPA 4.0 in Biology).
HSC/Equivalent exam passed students have to pass SSC/Equivalent exam within 02 session prior to HSC/Equivalent exam.
Students with "O" and "A" level pass must have Equivalence Certificate issued from the Office of the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), MOH&FW, Bangladesh.
ADMISSION TEST & SELECTION PROCESS
Admission test for Local students will be held according to the instructions of DGME published in the Admission Circular.
Selection of local students by National Merit List will also be done by DGME.
To Pass the MCQ Admission Test local students must score minimum 40 marks.
Migration process and student selection from waiting list will also be managed by DGME.
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED
For admission into 1st year MBBS course all students need to apply in prescribed form of EMC along with the following documents:
Attested photocopy of SSC & HSC/ Equivalent Exam Certificate/ Testimonial.
Attested photocopy of SSC & HSC/ Equivalent Exam Mark Sheets/ Academic Transcript.
Attested photocopy of Equivalence Certificate issued by DGHS, Dhaka, Bangladesh (for students with "O" & "A" level).
Three copies of recent passport size Color Photographs.
Photocopy of National ID Card.
At the time of admission all original documents will be retained by the college until completion of the course.
1st year MBBS class usually starts from first week of January or as decided by the Government each year.
